Pagina 1 di 2 ORIGIN AND AIMSA.S.C.C.A., Association for the Study and Control of Ambient Contamination, has been founded in 1981 in order to promote a deeper knowledge about the contamination of industrial and civil environments. The institutional aim of the Association consists in promoting and supporting research and development of sciences concerning the control of environmental contamination in a range of industrial fields, i.e. pharmaceutical, electronic, food, etc. as well as in health applications and in biotechnology plants in order to ensure a better quality for indoor air. The Association is a reference-point for all operators, in private and public enterprises involved in using, designing, producing and installing air filtration and process fluid decontamination systems. A.S.C.C.A. is concerned in contamination control both to ensure a better product quality and for protection against biological risks for patients and workers. That’s why A.S.C.C.A is now improving research and spreading of information among its members involved in designing and controlling HVAC (Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning) systems for environments which need a proper contamination control. These initiatives – unique in this area – have been greatly appreciated since the beginning and membership is growing fast. ASCCA FIELDSThe A.S.C.C.A. applies to all branches of industry in which contamination control is of primary importance both for product and worker’s health, i.e. electronic, pharmaceutical, alimentary and biotechnological ones, as well as health applications and special civil plants. A.S.C.C.A. members are mainly represented by end users of contamination control systems (pharmaceutical and electronic industries, hospitals, etc.), manufacturers engineers, manufacturers and distributors of air filtration systems, air quality measurement device, particle counters, etc. The Association has its own Technical-Scientific Committee and its own editorial staff who takes care of the publishing and development of the magazine. A.S.C.C.A. wants to involve more and more members, both in public and private bodies, in order to share their experiences, ideas and proposals to be able to answer to all specific requirements concerning contamination control. |
